The use of information and data collected through our website shall be limited to the purposes under this privacy policy, and also our terms of use if you are a client or customer.

Please read this privacy policy carefully. We reserve the right to change this privacy policy on the website at any time without notice.

In the event of a material change, we will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our website.

By using our website or its content, you consent to this privacy policy, whether or not you have read it.

This statement applies solely to information collected at our http://beautifullyauthentic.com website.

What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

We collect this information and personal data from you so that we can provide you with a positive experience when utilizing our website and content. For example, on some pages, you can make requests, and register, subscribe, or opt in to receive materials. For these requests, the types of personal information collected at these pages are: first and last name, email address, and/or phone number. We will only collect the minimum amount of information necessary for us to fulfill our obligation to you. We may collect:

  1. A first and last name, and/or email address so we can deliver our newsletter to you. You would be affirmatively consenting to this by providing this to us in our registration/subscription, and/or opt in form.
  2. A first and last name, email address, and/or phone number if you complete our contact form with a question or request. We may send you marketing emails with either your consent or if we believe we have a legitimate interest to contact you based on your contact, question, or request.
  3. Billing information including first and last name, address, and credit card information so that we can process payment to deliver our services to you under our contractual obligation.

Please note that the information above (“Personal Data”) that you give to us is voluntarily, and by you providing this information to us you give consent for us to use, collect, and process your personal data. You are welcome to opt out or request for us to delete your personal data at any point by contacting heather@heatherhundhausen.com.   If you choose not to provide us with certain personal data, you may not be able to participate in certain aspects of our website or content.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Anonymous Data Collection and Use

To maintain our website’s high quality, we may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer the website by identifying which areas of the website are most heavily used, and to display content according to your preferences. Your IP address is the number assigned to computers connected to the internet. This is essentially “traffic data” which cannot personally identify you, but is helpful to us for marketing purposes and for improving our services. Traffic data collection does not follow a user’s activities on any other websites in any way. Anonymous traffic data may also be shared with business partners and advertisers on an aggregate basis.

Involuntary information is collected including IP address, click-through statistics, and referring URLs on your visit.

Use of “Cookies”

We do employ cookies. A cookie is a small text file that our web server places on a user’s computer hard drive to be a unique identifier. We use cookies that enable Heather Hundhausen to track affiliate referral sales made by our users. Our cookies do not have an expiration date. Our cookies do not collect personally identifiable information.

We may also use the standard “cookies” feature of major web browsers. We do not set any personally identifiable information in cookies, nor do we employ any data-capture mechanism on our website other than cookies. You may choose to disable cookies through your own web browser’s settings. However, disabling this function may diminish your experience on our website and some features may not work as intended.

Comments

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

User Account

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded Content from other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

To use certain features of the website or its content, you may need a username and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the username and password, and you are responsible for all activities, whether by you or by others, that occur under your username or password and within your account.
